Otis

Otis

Otis arrived in July 2006 as a first class passenger on Dennis' airplane, so we called him "Execu-Pug." At that time, he was 13 years old. He has no teeth, and has lost about 90% of both his hearing and vision, and is partially crippled. Although I wanted to make sure that this little dude had a good home, I assumed that it would be a very short term "mercy" adoption, and that he would go to the Bridge shortly. I was wrong.

Otis had his 14th birthday this June and is going strong. He is quite active, (although he can't climb stairs) and truly enjoys his life! He loves to roam around in our big (fenced) backyard. He must have radar, because he never gets lost. He eats with great gusto, and even does wheelies while he's waiting for me to give him his meals. Otis is a real cuddle-puppy. He loves to lie next to us on the couch while we watch TV. Although his "peripherals" don't work too well, he is basically a very healthy little guy and I hope he is with us for a long time. And by the way, the "mercy" was on his part! My husband and I are utterly smitten with him, and we are so grateful that Otis, at his advanced age, has bonded with us so well.
