China

We've had little China here now for two weeks and she's doing great! She is quite a character and is such a little person. She is a lazy butt in the mornings, and makes me carry her outside because she doesn't want to get out of the bed! I can't even bribe her out! She is great in her crate, she cried at first when I put her in before work, but she has settled down quite a bit in there. She knows that Holly is her playmate, and goes into her room in the mornings to "help" me wake her up. She looooves car rides and exploring the land. She also has this toy we call Rope Buddy, and she'll go get him and bring him to you and want you to either throw it so she can go get it, or play tug of war with her. She caught on to "sit" within a few days and has learned that "sit" is a fancy word for "FOOD"! She likes to give me a bath daily; and we gave her a bath on Friday and she seemed to enjoy it, she didn't hardly move a muscle. She loves everybody; she thinks everyone she meets is there to pet her only and has no other business to tend to! She also likes to let you know if you have an idle hand, then she has a job for it and will keep it busy for awhile. She is also not content just sleeping NEXT to you, she has to have some part of her body ON you! She is very personable, and I think is soaking up being an only pug. I would be lying to you if I said I wasn't thinking about getting another one......I think for now though, the new pugbaby wants us all for herself. She loves to sit on my lap any chance she gets and enjoys being carried. My mom pokes fun at me for spoiling her so much, but NO ONE can resist petting her cute little head when she gives "The Eyes" (you know!) Of course you know! You are the Queen of Knowing The Pug Eyes! I am so elated with her, she is doing so well. She has adjusted so well and so fast. She has only had two accidents this whole time, and I think that is just a routine issue. That's it! She likes to hide her nylabones anywhere she can find a spot and actually buries them in blanket or pillows and covers them up. Then she forgets where the heck she put them and mom has to come to the rescue and uncover one for her. (They are usually under my pillow) She has claimed every chair, cushion, couch, pillow, blanket, etc as "her spot" so at least I don't need to get her her "own" pillow and blankie since they are all "hers". I have some pictures I will be sending you next time I download my camera. I am on cloud 9 with her and couldn't want a better baby. Thanks so much, and I will be in contact with you! Take care, Emily
